Only if the Dr. is able to see two heart beats. Sometimes it takes more time to be able to tell. At my 9 wk visit my Dr. was only able to see 1 heart beat, but she informed me that it doesn't definitely mean there is only 1 baby......lord I hope it's only 1!

Sometimes. But, 6 weeks is a bit early. Also, any twins showing up that early, you need to be aware that one can "vanish" as the pregnancy continues. Here is more information on Vanishing Twin Syndrome.
