m in my second trimester and a doctor by profession,constantly thinking about all aspects of pregnancy facts in our books,getting night mares since pregnant,also i talked to my gynaec yet unavailable to get out of this situation plz help

'Prenatal mood disorder' is not as uncommon as some may think, as with the more common 'postpartum depression' hormones are surging through your body and can definitely impact you emotionally-weeping, distracted, and nightmares which you mention are very common among pregnant women.

I strongly encourage you to speak again with your OB/Gyn and/or your primary care medical doctor; the options that they can provide include:
-reassuring you that your situation is part of the pregnancy journey
-recommend short term therapy to work through concerns
-prescribe a mild medication to assist with anxiety

Instincts in pregnancy and later as a parent are key - a built in mechanism that "something is going on." Pay attention to this whispering/voice inside you. When igored or denied- larger problems can arise.

I applaud your courage to inquire about this - pregnancy is not always the blissful state portrayed in magazine articles!

I look forward to hearing from our pregnancy community about their experiences as they relate to your situation.

I'm in my 3rd Tri (31 weeks) and for the past few weeks I have been somewhat down. My biggest fear is the loss of my self. I have always been "me" and now I will have a new title and a whole new life. It worries me constantly and has caused many tears. I have talked with firends who claim "its all worth it in the end" and "you will still be you" but as I see them, they are not the same person that they were. They have other priorities and their own life comes second/third. I'm not trying to sound self centered, its just been on my mind a lot.

You are not in the least bit "self-centered." In fact, you are among the mainstream expectant mom out there who is facing her life changing forever! Granted, there are amazing moments of joy...there are also immense challenges, including missing your previous lifestyle.

I strongly encourage you to seek some additional support, perhaps in the form of short term therapy. To have a safety net in place now, a trusted source that you can reach out to if needed later, is a responsible approach. To get started, you will find two prenatal/postpartum mood specialists on my website: www.mcmoylermethod.com. They could be helpful, no matter where you live.
