Huge bruise on my knee

I have an appointment for my dr on Thursday but I don't want to look like an idiot. Here's what happened. On Saturday I knelt down on a concrete floor and felt a sharp pain in my knee for a few seconds until I stood back up. I am 15 weeks pregnant and have only gained about 8 lbs (if anything I'm still underweight). I didn't think anything more of it until the next morning when I got into the shower. I have a black and purple bruise about the size of tennis ball on the right side of my knee. What could cause this? Is there any correlation to my pregnancy?

Don't feel like an idoit that is the doctors job. Do you normally bruise easily? When you knelt down did you at all land with any force on your knee? It might be nothing but check with your doctor just to be sure. Good luck

Thanks for your reply. I did ask my doctor and she said that I burst blood vessals when I knelt down. To answer your question though there wasn't any force behind me kneeling which is what made it so weird. I have become anemic in past pregnancies which was one of my concerns since like I said it is early on in my pregnancy and I haven't gained that much weight yet.
