Risk of stress while 7 months pregnant

I'm under sooo much stress. Its been two weeks since I've been dealing with major stress and on top of it I'm dealing with depression and anxiety disorders. i'm not on any medication for it. What are the risks to my baby and I since I'm under so much stress? I'm cramping more than usual. The contractions hurt sometimes they feel like sharp pains. I talked to my dr about it she said if I'm bleeding then come in. I'm trying not to stress but it's hard.

I assume that extra stress on your body is not very good, so it can't be great for the baby either. If you are contracting, that isn't a good sign, so even though it is hard, it sounds like you need to find something that helps you relax more.

I am 28 weeks pregnant. My family is getting ready to make an international move, and my husband is quitting his very stable job as a soldier to go to school. So we are moving across the world to a place where we have no where to live and currently no jobs. I also have to leave earlier than my husband because I can't fly after 36 weeks. So I will be flying with my 2 year old son, dog, and plenty of luggage all by myself. Then I will be having my baby without my husband around, need to find a house, job, ect. while temporarily being a single parent. My point is that I have A LOT of stress as well. Here are a few things I do to relieve that stress:

-Getting a prenatal massage. An hour of bliss and relaxation.
-Making lists for the day that I can physically check things off of. Might seem simple or stupid, but even checking off "making lunch" feels me with a sense of accomplishment and eases my stress.
- Talking it out. Friends, Family, and sometimes strangers
- Doing something I love for an hour a day. This normally means taking my son outside to play while I enjoy the sun and read.
-Separating things into "things I can change" and "things I can't change". Sometimes I just think about them, sometimes I write them down so I don't forget. If I am stressing over "things I can't change" then I try to focus on the other list finding ways to make them better. It temporarily lets me forget about the "things I can't change".

I suggest trying some of them. Stress is hard to manage sometimes, but you CAN do it. Good luck!

Stress is not thought to be associated with quite a lot of complications during pregnancy. We know it can be associated with preterm labor. It can also be associated with problems with the newborn child as well.

There are a number of new thougths out there regarding the medications out there. We believe there is a place for the use of medications in patients who are having trouble in pregnancy.

Therefore, you may wish to see your phsyician and consider being placed on your medication. It should be one which is considered safe in pregnancy.
