It's been a month, and I still don't know if I'm pregnant or if I had a miscarriage.
I started bleeding 27 days ago. It was brown, light, with tissue. One week later, my first pregnancy test was positive. My hcg levels were in the 600s, but when I had an ultrasound, they found nothing. The doctor said I probably had a complete miscarriage at 1 or 2 weeks. However, the day after the ultrasound, my hcg levels had doubled. Doctor said it could be ectopic, so I had another test a few days later. My levels went down to 690 and I experienced heavy bleeding and pain for a few days. Doctor said I probably had a miscarriage at 2 or 3 weeks. [br>[br>However, this is the 27th day of bleeding. The bleeding had been getting lighter and lighter, until it turned brown again and almost stopped. But starting a week ago, it's been getting heavier again, red, and there's some tissue. I took an at-home pregnancy test today and it said positive. I couldn't be pregnant for a second time because I haven't had sex. [br>[br>Since this was a supposed chemical pregnancy, I can't believe I'm still bleeding. Most women with chemical pregnancies don't even know they're having it.

I'm wondering if I'm still pregnant with a normal or tubal pregnancy. I couldn't be pregnant more than 8 weeks.

If you've had a chemical pregnancy, how long did you bleed after the miscarriage? Did the bleeding come and go? If you've had an ectopic pregnancy, did you experience anything like this?

I have not had a chemical pregnancy or ectopic pregnancy, but I have had an early miscarriage (8 weeks) and my step-mom and a good friend of mine have both had ectopic pregnancies. The ectopic pregnancies were extremely painful before and during miscarriage. There was certainly bleeding with the ectopic pregnancies before the miscarriage as well. With my miscarriage the bleeding lasted a good month. It is possible to get a false positive on a hpt for a few reasons, definitely talk to your ob asap.
