    I very nervous!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for about 3 to 4 yrs. We recently found out I am in fact pregnant! It was such a surprise I took 4 tests to make sure. We are soooo excited but now im nervous. I went to the Dr. who confirmed I am pregnant. I am 5wks and 2days. I go back july 17th for an u/s but Im having cramping its kinda like period cramps no bleeding just cramps in stomach and lower back sometimes. Im worried i may have like a tubal pregnancy or something is worng. The 17 is soooo far away to find out its in the right place and in fact also see a beating heart. We've tried for so long I just hope everything is ok. Its like a huge blessing to us! Any advice???????
    tbkittycat responded:
Cramping similar to period cramps are normal as long as they aren't severe and accompanied by bleeding.

If you had a tubal pregnancy, you'd know by now because you'd be in extreme pain.
    Robert O Atlas, MD responded:
The key is where is the cramping. if it is in the middle of the lower abdomen, it is perfectly normal. If it was an ectopic pregnancy, the cramping would be more likely to be on one side or the other. There are ways to know if it is in the correct place. The easiest is in fact ultrasound. The other thing you can do is have two blood tests 48 hours apart.

I am so happy for you!! This is great news. congratulations.

Thank you! I was having lower ABD cramping earlier today. It got me very nervous because of a previous m/c That makes me feel better knowing that it's normal.
