Labor Prep, FAST!
Sarah McMoyler, RN posted:
For years, I have been I have been monitoring the pulse of expectant parents and what I am finding is that they need their childbirth education faster. This is a reflection of both parents working, exhaustion, overwhelm and a reflection of our society, faster is better. Therefore, I am responding to that in the classes that I teach- condensing the information, providing illustrated course books for review and presenting content in an 'express' format. My opinion is that focused time spent together preparing for the birth can be done in less time, as long as that time includes the TRUTH about labor and newborns, versus dressing the experience up and making it sound pretty!

What was your childbirth education experience like, valuable or a waste of time and energy?
