best time to have another baby?
sweets1988 posted:
currently my husband and i have 2 beautiful little girls, and i was hoping for you ladies opinions. We know we want 2 more kids, hoping for at least 1 boy to carry on my husbands last name. Right now our little girls are 3 years and the other is 8 months. Any opinions on what is a good age to try again? i kinda wanna have my youngest started on potty training, but im finding myself eager to have another baby. The only other stipulation for us, is we have to move in December when he Graduates from Trade school & get settled back home. i dont wanna be prego during all that stress. so thoughts on how long to wait before trying again?

I would wait until after you move to start trying to have another baby. I don't think you want to worry about being pregnant and moving all at the same time. Moving is stressful enough as it is you don't need to add pregnancy into the stress.

It's not always good to get pregnant right after having a baby. Your body needs time to completely heal or you could run into problems. For me I think about a year is long enough to wait. You might also think about the time of year. Do you want to be pregnant during the winter or summer? I'm 28 1/2 weeks now and this heat is killing me.

You should discuss this with your hubby and doctor to find out when the best time to have another child for you.
Maddievt responded:
At 9 months old, I found out I was pregnant again w/our second child but ended up miscarrying at 6 weeks. A month later I became pregnant again and had another miscarriage at about 8 weeks. Since then, my husband and I have decided to wait. Everyone is different. I would talk to your doctor if you are trying to have another baby since they are familiar with your health history.

Definitely wait till after you move! I am 32 weeks pregnant and trying to buy a house. My husband just got out of the Marine Corp and is starting school and working construction on the side. This transition has been beyond stressful. I had wanted to wait until we were settled to get pregnant again but my husband wanted a second child so badly and he had just returned from a deployment so I caved. Now we may still be living with my mother when I have the baby and be moving during the post partem period. Basically its gonna suck. we will get through it but its gonna suck so I would at least wait till you move. And waiting till your youngest is potty trained is a good idea too.

@sweets1988 I think pregnancy all depends on whether the individual is ready mentally, physically, financially and emotionally. When ever you and your husband feel it is time then try for another little joy. I have a four almost five year old daughter and she is my only one and i want another baby but I'm waiting because right now i am not emotionally and physically ready to go through 9months of pregnancy. So I am stabilizing myself before i decide to bring a little one into the world. If and when i do I want to try for a boy also, but we will see.

Well to my great surprise we found out on monday that i am already prego... My doctor after my second did not put my IUD in correctly. in fact he shoved it into my uterine wall! I see a lawyer in my future...but because of that i am Due April pending i dont miscarry or go into preterm labor because of the IUD in the muscle of my uterus. If i carry to term they will take the IUD out via C-section with the baby. Wish me luck ladies!
