Cause of Miscarriage?

I am about 9 weeks pregnant, and my doctor didn't see the heartbeat yesterday. He thinks I'm miscarrying the baby. A week or so ago, my 3 1/2 year old kicked me in the stomach while I was getting him dressed. Is that something that could've caused the miscarriage?

No. The baby is well protected in there and a kick from a 3 1/2 year old would not be strong enough to cause a miscarriage.

Most of the time, there is no known cause for a miscarriage. Ofen there are chromosomal abnormalities that do not allow the embryo to develop.

Thanks. I did read one of my books, after I posted this, that only a blow that would injure or endanger me would affect the baby.

I appreciate the reassurance though.

Thanks again.
