    im 26 weeks and having very sharp pains just to the left of my bellybutton and my belly button is swollen. could this be a hernia and is that a concern

    Well it certainly could be. most patients don't have exactly what you are describing. Have you had any surgery before? If so, it could be.

    Most people don't describe their belly button as swollen, but say when the increase their intraabdominal pressure (bear down), you can get an outpouching in the belly button.

    I would certainly tell your healthcare provider this information so they can evaluate you.
