    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,

    High risk vs shower planning

Hi We have a dilema. Our daughter is expecting our 1st grandson. She is 25 weeks along and has been assigned complete bedrest til she reaches term or as long as possible.
How do we go about planning a baby shower? Our 1st thought is to delay the shower til the baby arrives, as we don't know when that may be. Doc says it could be any time or she could carry to term.
If we delay the shower, what essential things are needed between the babys birth and the shower? How would that impact invited guests gift ideas?
If we go ahead with planning as a "normal" shower, How do you plan a date and send invites knowing it may be cancelled if he arrives early?

If anyone has had similiar expirences, would love to know how you made out.

In your case, I would wait until the baby is born and it can be a welcoming shower.

As for essential things needed, diapers, onesies, sleep sacs, etc.
