Does saliva kill sperm? Please help! I really need help!

Yes, I know it sounds strange, but please... I'm so terrified right now that I don't know what to do.... Please.... I just need serious answers.

Basically, I gave a guy a bj (I'd use the actual word but it keeps getting blocked).
He came in my mouth and I swallowed.
Probably half an hour later, he put his thumb in my mouth for like 10 seconds.
Then maybe 15 or 20 minutes later, he fingered me with that same thumb. (And I didn't ***king realize it until after it was too late...)
Also, he ate me out (probably an hour after I gave him a bj) along with fingering me, which after he had kissed me, which was after I gave him a bj.

Please help me.
I mean, his thumb was dry, and I think my saliva killed the sperm in my mouth (and in his? if it's possible to transfer that way?) but still...
Is there a chance that I could get pregnant?
And should I get the morning after pill, just in case?
Please help me... I'm so scared right now... I don't know what to do...

ok, take a breath. I can't possibly imagine that you would be pregnant with that.

Thank you... okay... I'm sorry, I just worry so much about these things... And I know it's ridiculously unlikely, but still, I get so worried...

I agree that there's no way. Sperm live for a very short time once they hit the open air. They could not possibly travel all the way through your body like that.
Don't worry!

ok so the myth about air killing sperm is not true. sperm can live on the body or in the body for (did noone take sex ed) up to 3 days. they can travel thrugh saliva or any type of fluid (water ect...) however you cannot get pregnant by ingesting sperm as there is no path from the stomach to the uterus. and the acids in the stomach will kill the sperm. however there are about 1 million sperm in a singe drop of pre-cum so if there is sperm on or near .the vagina (pubic hair ect) and there is any fluid leading into the vagina, they can travel through that which is y the pull-out method does not always work for conraceptioin. but the open air myth is FALSE they can live in open air for up to 3 days. if you are having signs of pregnancy (backache, nausea, hot flashes, cravings, exhaustion, sore breasts) i would take a pregnancy test.

also in ur case sperm could have been transferred on the skin if there were any on his hand, although the fluid around the sperm dries, they continue to live which is y most ppl think air kill sperm when it actualy does not so the short answer is yes you can get pregnant by the type of exose u have described.. besst of luck to u..

I have to say that I disagree with the previous poster, you have more likely hood of getting struck by lightening and winning the lottery in the same day than getting pregnant from that. For starters there would have been no sperm left in your mouth when he stuck his thumb in there, and I could go on and on about what else I think is unlikely about it, but I don't think it is nessisary.

She is right about the fact that sperm can survive even with exposure to air, but it would not survive very long after being exposed to saliva.

Wow.... that's all I can say......

You're good though..... like the other lady said, the chances of you being prego are, well, non-existent.

Are you on some kind of birth control? You might want to consider that if you are going to be sexually active.

Technically, yes, saliva can kill sperm. Your saliva contains enzymes that break down food particles (and sperm). In fact, the vast majority of macro-digestion occurs in your mouth. However, there are so many sperm, there is always the risk that some survived. In your case, I would not freak out about it too much.

If you are old enough to have sex though, you need to be mature enough to deal with the consequences of your actions. No need to punish a child (which a fertilized egg will become if carried to term) because of your own poor decisions. It is a safe practice to ALWAYS assume that you will get pregnant when messing around sexually, because the only sure-fire contraception (or to avoid getting an STD) is to abstain from sex.

emzyhere replied to lisasmart0608's response:
I have to say you are COMPLETELY wrong. I am an student who has had to study sperm and what happens to it for AI purposes. Sperm can live in moist enviroments but they have to be ideal for the sperm aka the seminal fluids it comes in. They will die in acidic conditions such as your mouth due to saliva or even the vagina do to its acidic properties to protect itself from infection which is why douching is bad for your reproductive health. True they can live in the body for 3-5 days if they manage to keep seminal fluids around them or if they make it pass the cervix and into the uterus and then avoid being eaten by a white blood cell. So if you take the saliva's acidity, the vagina's and the acidity of your own skin, you have an environment that is pretty much impossible for a sperm to live in. Then add in that when the fluids dry up so do they, and they do NOT come back to 'life' after being moistened. They only come back from the 'dead' if they were frozen and thawed properly as used in AI methods which by-pass the vagina and cervix completely to insert millions of viable sperm into the uterus itself.

The moral of the story is this. No, you can rest assured that the likelihood of her being pregnant is about as likely as me meeting Vin Diesel tomorrow, pretty much zero.

And at the end of the day, the worse job in the world is to be a sperm...

I have a very important question. . . My bf and I had sex 2wice 3 days after my period. Well we used saliva as a lube but only one out of both times. So I kinda need to know what are my chances of getting pregnant, since it did last a while the second time when we used saliva? I know I sound crazy but he's like you can't get pregnant using Saliva as a lube. And he tried to say he doesn't come but I believe that like I believe I'm a millionaire lol. But they do say when you get off your period you ovalate so that why I'm worried lol.

I read your paragraph, and i admire your knowledge. Most of the people suggest out of their own mind without truly knowing the facts or educational matters. Maybe you can help me out with my issue.
I was giving a bj to my boyfriend. We have done it plenty of times, but this time im dead nervous. Reason being: he came in my mouth and pulled out before i swallowed it, he touched me for a second and then went inside me, for his second wing...! As soon as i remembered that i did not swallowed i pushed him away, to get a condom... Two days after i got my period which is around this time, hut i dont know if is my mind or whqt but i feel my breast tenders... can i get symptoms this week? Its only 5 days since it happened.. Could i be pregnant?

tlkittycat1968 replied to lifesmoments's response:
Yes, pregnancy is still possible. If he ejaculated in you, the sperm are deposited near your cervix which is way past the point where the saliva was.

Anytime you have unprotected sex, and that is what you had, there is the risk of pregnancy. If you do not want to become pregnant, be sure to at least use a condom every time.
