    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

    Extremely Large Placental Lake

I am having a difficult time finding any information on very large placental lakes. I am a bit over 13 weeks pregnant with a little boy. I just saw my Perinatologist and was diagnosed with a 40-50% placental lake. Now, I know that placental lakes, if small are not worrisome; however, my Dr. said this is worrisome and that it is something that will not go away. I am a SAHM of triplet 5 year olds and a 25 lb. 19 month old. I am very busy, and am not sure how to "take it easy". Help? Anyone???

Hi I know this message was from 3 years ago but your the first person I've seen mention large lakes and I've been searching for weeks I also have a large lake half the size of my placenta and I would love to hear from you to see how your pregnancy went. I do hope all went well for you. I have two little girls age 18 months and 3 years taking it easy is not an option for me either I totally understand you. Anyway I do hope you see this message and you can help me to gain more info as i am feeling drained from searching . Thank you
