I have had two pregnancy test done, both were positive. I was not, still not sure how far gone I may be. However, my first visit to the Dr's office revealed two sacs in my uterus via ultra sound but no baby showing. Is this normal? The Dr gave me quiet a frantic scare saying this is abnormal, that I may have miscarried and that this is just not right..she went on and on about how we can even prescribe something to get rid of everything as this is not right... eventually, she advised I go back in a week to try the ultra sound again...needless to say, this left me emotionally torn and confused. Has anyone experienced this, or is there someone with professional advise? Please help me clear my mind and be at peace...?

I actually just had a friend who expirenced the same thing about a month ago. She tested positve then went for her first u/s which only showed a sac with no fetus. They set up another appt 1 week later to see if maybe she was to early in pregnancy to see the baby. She went back and there was still nothing. They discussed having a DNC but she wanted to wait it out. A few days later she had bleeding went to the ER and ended up getting a DNC. It is a common thing actually, it happens to so many pregnancies. I would talk to your Dr, and explain you have questions. Its nothing you did wrong its something that happens sometimes....

It may be too early in your pregancy to see anything. I'd wait at least a week before having another ultrasound.
