i'm 24... i have a 7 year old and a 5 year old... i recently found out i was pregnant june 2nd... my last period was may 1st. everything was going fine... i was starting to get food cravings, a little breast soreness... and a little sick feeling only when i first woke up... then i started getting pulled muscle feelings, in my lower stomach... and mid back pain... i've had two c-sections and read, that after having multiple c-sections, when you get pregnant again the scar tissue can hurt upon making room for the growth about to take place... my uterus feels tight.. and everything seemed normal... thursday, i started having worse pains... period like cramps almost... and pulled muscles... then saturday i bled like i had just started my period... it was dark red, almost brownish... and after a few whips (tmi sorry) it went away... i put a pad on and went to the ER. They checked my HCG level and said that it was pretty low... and was showing about 3 to 4 weeks pregnant... so they diagnosed me with threatened/spontaneous miscarriage... and i have a ob appointment tomorrow to recheck my levels.... after the initial bleed i had only light spotting and then it went away all day today... just as i thought they're may be hope... i started spotting again... it wasn't as heavy as the first bleed... and my cramps are coming back, but not as extreme and very dull.... my anxiety is getting the best of me, and i just don't have any idea what to expect at my doctors appointment... someone shed some insight please!

Sarah McMoyler, RN responded:
I am sorry for your anxiety and worry! Having had a miscarriage myself- it is heart-wrenching...based on what you have experienced- it remains to be seen if you will move forward with the pregnancy. (My sister actually bled throughout her pregnancy and delivered a full term, healthy baby.

Sending you my very best,

Sarah RN
