    bleeding during frist trimester

This is my 4th pregnancy all of my other pregnancies have been successful liver births. I have never had any complications at all with my pregnancies except for my second when I was living with people who would not stop smoking around me and it caused holes in my placenta and only one vein and one artery to function but once I was able to move out of that situation, the issue resolved itself. I did have a few of the subacromial (sp?) hemorages but they resolved themselves the further along I got.
My concern is that yesterday around 6 I went to the bathroom and there was a mix of bright red, pink and brown blood with mucas all over my underwear to the point where it had soiled my cotton shorts and I had to change. There was still active bleeding too that was a mix of red and pink in color. I called my OB and he said that as long as it is mucasy and pink in color without any cramping I am ok and it could be implantation since we don't know for sure how far along I am or a subacromial hemmorage and that both are normal and I and the baby would be ok. What concerns me is that I am still having a lot of active bleeding. it is still pinkish redish in clolor but has turned more redish with no mucas. I have NEVER had this before and don't know what to do????

Well, it can't be implantation bleeding since you're already pregnant.

Some women have mild bleeding in the first trimester and go on to have healthy pregnancies. As long as the bleeding isn't heavy or accompanied by heavy cramping, you should be fine.
