First Pregnancy at 38

I have just found out I am pregnant. I am 38 and this will be my first child. I am excited and nervous due to the risks I've heard can be involved. My aunt was well in her late 40s when she had her last child, so I don't worry too much.

I am not experiencing any of the early pregnancy symptoms I have read about. I do eat a lot more than I normally would, urinate quite frequently and have some back aches here and there. I have my first Dr appt tomorrow, so I know there will lots and lots of test. (yay)

Is the lack of symptoms normal? Or should I thank my lucky stars?

Welcome to the "older" moms club. I, too, was 38 when I had my first and 40 when I had my second.

I wouldn't be too excited about lack of symptoms just yet. My symptoms hit around 5-6 weeks for both pregnancies. If you do happen to be on the lucky ones, enjoy.
