Prenatal Folic Acid & Autism

While the evidence to date suggests that autism stems from a combination of genetic and environmental factors, it is thought that prenatal folic acid may reduce the risk for autism. This is according to a Norwegian study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).
Check with your OB/Midwife for their recommended prenatal vitamin, all of which contain folic acid.
