Could I be pregnant??
Kitty82 posted:
My cycle has been regular and every 27 days. I always have heavy bleeding with severe cramps 2 days before and 2 days into my cycle. My last cycle was August the 27th and I didn't have one last month. So I went to see a ob and they did urine test which came back negative. (I knew it would I was 3 months along with m daughter and 3 months with my son before they would show a positive) and he also did blood work and told me yesterday that I had a hcg level of 1. He did the test 2 weeks ago. And told me that it was negative. He refuse to do another blood test yesterday.. I have had all the early symptoms of pregnancy for 3 weeks now. And I am not the type of person to gain weight for no reason but I have gained 5lbs in the last 2 weeks and went for a size 0in pants to a size 4.. Would the HCG show up if I wasn't pregnant?? I have light to moderate spotting and have had for 4 days now.. Could I actually be pregnant and it just not registering yet???

The hcg in the blood would show up but not necessarily in the urine. Some just don't register with urine. Though if its been 3 weeks if couldn't hurt to do another urine test just to see at home. Its possible you may have had a cyst or something else going on which is why you skipped a period or just didn't ovulate till much later. Our hormones do funny things. I would say take another urine test and if its negative I would not test again for a little while and see if you miss your next period. With light to moderate spotting though some doctors will consider that a period even if its abnormal from what your used to.
