    Almost 10 weeks and spotting

    Hi Ladies,

I'm a 3 time graduate of this board and actually have a question for a friend today. She is almost 10 weeks and has been spotting on and off since 7 weeks. She went to ER at 7 weeks and they saw a heartbeat and thankfully the spotting (and cramps that time) stopped a few days later. She has been spotting again now for a week or so. Mostly in the mornings and at night...sometimes brown, sometimes red. She said she changes a pantyliner 3 to 4 times during the day.

My question, should she be worried? She is from Italy and can only really go to the ER here with her insurance. She is going home in < 2 weeks and I think wants to wait, but I'm afraid to tell her all is OK. I didn't have spotting and didn't know how to counsel her. I'm hoping someone here can help me.

    Thanks so much!
