Hello fellow mommies and mommies to be!!
I was just wondering when everyone started telling loved ones/friends/co workers you were expecting???

I am 8 weeks along with baby#2 and we haven't told anyone other then a few people (mostly me due to my job and I had to tell my best friend! I was dying!!!)
My hubby wanted to tell both of our families since I was the one to tell everyone with our first but he still hasn't said anything and I know it's better to wait until the 12 week mark but we didn't with our first and everything was okay and I feel like we are fine now too. The problem is I am already showing. I lost a lot of weight right after the first birth due to thyroid problems and gluten intolerance andI have a pooch now and can't hide it anymore!!!

I always feel like you should tell people when you are comfortable telling people. I understand you don't want to do it too soon and then (God forbid) something happens. We didn't tell people until 14 weeks with our first, but we were nervous. I told everyone right away with my second and this one. It is probably safe to wait until your first U/S to confirm everything I suppose.

My husband and I were on the phone telling family members within 10 minutes of the positive test. :D We've been trying for a while and we couldn't contain our excitement!

I waited until I hit the 12 week mark. I'm PG with my first, and have quite the stomach already. I wasn't comfortable telling people right away, and actually wanted to wait until I was 16 weeks, but knew people were talking already. So when I announced last week, a number of people came up to me and told me how they noticed, "but didn't want to say anything". Thanks People!

Whatever you're comfortable with is really the way to go. The thing I heard the most was to wait to tell at work when you start to show.

My husband and I were the same way, but i'm wishing now we would have waited. I'm only 5 weeks and I have heard that my brother-in-law has already told serveral people. I'm praying everything goes smoothly b/c I know its going to be so hard to tell people if something happens.

I know how you feel, I got pregnant two years ago and my fiance told his mom and a few other people and the next week I had a miscarriage and had to explain to everyone what happened and every time someone asks it brings up the situation all over again. So this time I found out I am pregnant we agreed to wait until 12 weeks but he was so excited he couldn't help but tell everyone at this birthday party he was going to be a daddy and I was like seriously I hope it all goes ok cuz I can't go through explaining the sadness all over again. I am supposed to be due 12/21/11 so hopefully second time is a charm.

That is my question too! This is my first pregnancy. At first, Daddy did not want to tell anyone until it was absolutely necessary. I begged him that I had to tell someone because I have all these questions! He said I could tell my closest cousin after my first ultrasound (which is Monday, by the way) but today I find out that he has told some of his family members. I don't think I want to tell anyone else, besides my bestie, until I am four or five months.

We are worried about our little one too, my DH has Brittle Bone Disease and the baby has a 50/50 chance of getting it too. We're hoping it would be a milder strain than his but it could go either way.

Even though I can't imagine the heartache I would go through if we lost the baby, I've found solice in the fact that God's got a plan for our little one, so worrying does nothing but make me stress. I don't know if anyone else is a Christian but it sure helps me. I'm enjoying being pregnant as much as I can so I can enjoy the time I have, whatever time we get. Which means I'm having fun eating that huge bowl of cereal in the morning. ^_^
