I just found out I'm pregnant!!!

Hi everyone,
I have never posted on a board before, but my husband and I just found out that I'm pregnant. By our calculations, today is 4 weeks from the first day of my last period. We started trying last month and I was convinced I was pregnant and then saw I wasn't, so this month I was convinced I wasn't and then I saw 'pregnant' on the test. It doesn't feel real yet, but I am on cloud nine.
Just wanted to tell someone out there since we are going to wait a while before telling anyone we know.

haha, well it's nice to know i am not alone in having a fake out. we actually looked at the test together and i was absolutely convinced it would say not pregnant- (which even though we haven't been trying long totally devastated me to see last month). i almost fell over with shock when i saw the results. congrats to you!

hey there ladies i am brand new to the first-tri board seeing as i just got my positive yesterday. I am going crazy bc we are wanting to wait a while before telling anyone, but i want to shot it to the world. DH has told his mom and I have told one friend, but thats because she has been going thru the whole ttc journey with me and he is really close to his mom and looks for her approval. we should be due 9/8 according to the calc which was on spot with DS(almost 3)... this is actually perfect timing is separating birthdays and I'm so excited... just really nervous about have mc #2 and telling everyone.

Congrats Zaysmama! I wasn't going to tell anyone, then I told a friend that knew I wanted to be pregnant sooo bad, a friend whom we wanted to be pregnant together (she has a 4 month old) and my brother. Today I told my parents, a friend that recently had a baby and one of my best friends (who is my number one candidate for God Mother but recently miscarried), the advice she gave me is to wait until at least the 12th week because then you're less likely to mc and all. She shouted it to the world right away and then she felt even more horrible when everyone was apologizing to her after her mc, she thinks she might be pg again but is waiting to take a test for a few more weeks.

Anyways...Congrats again, and congrats to all the women on this board that are in they're first Trimester as well!

I am 7 weeks 5 days and I am waiting to get confirmation my insurance has gone through so I can get my first appointment! Congrats and Happy Healthy Pregnancies to all!

Zaysmama replied to PreciousLittleOne's response:
thanks PreciousLittleOne... I had a mc at about 9 weeks before and that was hard to deal with, but then I was blessed with my son, and he is my whole world. It took me a while to be ready to tell my mom or anyone because I was 18 at the time and living with my mom. Since then, things have gotten a bit better. DH and I are out on our own working and we have become a wonderful family, seeing as DS is not his. Now we are hopefully having one together...
I hope to wait atleast 12 weeks to tell anyone in my family. I am 5weeks 1 day today, according to the calendar, but my cycles were always a little off, but up to 3days. DH knows, and he has told his mom and I had to tell one friend because she to was the one we hoped would be preg together. She however just had a mc so although I know this may be hard for her I also know she is really excited and I couldn't imagine keeping it from her.
Any special way you plan on telling all the friends and family when the time comes?...

Congrats ladies, and I look forward to sharing this experience and getting to know each of you here on the first tri board!
-Happy, and healthy pregnancies to you all!

Well I told my parents and a few friends already and everyone was excited. I'm going to let my partner tell his parents himself how he wants to (if he wants me there or wants to be alone, I'll let him decide), I'm going to call and tell my grandpa on the phone and I think for the most part everyone I wanted to personally tell have been told, I'm going to announce it on Facebook because its the easiest way to share our Joy.

Me too! I just tested this morning and was convinced I was just jumping the gun. I made DH go check the test because I didn't want to see another nevgative. But I don't want to tell anyone untill we are sure our new little friend sticks. But I new coming on here was what I could do to get thrill of putting it out there in the universe that we finally got the BFP.

Zaysmama replied to Shanangins's response:
Well congrats Shanangins...
Have you scheduled a dr appt yet?
And how long were you ttc? if you dont mind me asking!

Shanangins replied to Zaysmama's response:
Thanks! Well I don't have an actual appt. yet but I did go in for my first blood drawl to confirm my pregnancy. The Doctor said my numbers were really good and I will be going in on Sat. to do another blood drawl to make sure the numbers are getting stronger then I guess we'll have an actual appt./ultrasound a few weeks later. We have been trying for almost two years. This past year and a half we have been REALLY trying tracking everything, peeing on sticks etc. We actually went through one round of clomid and IUI. We decided to wait till Feb. of this year to continue with the fertility teatments, but lucky for us we chanced in to getting preggers the inexpensive way. I am glad though that we are still seeing our fertility Dr. as of now because having to choose an OBGYN or Midwife scare me.
