    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Question.

Are you getting an LOA during your first tri? My doctors office used to have us ( patients) sign a form that stated that Pregnancy was not a medical condition...and would not give LOA's ..unless it was medically necessary.. he currently bought out the entire practice and I didnt have to sign the form yesterday.. I would like to have one this go around.. morning sickness soooooooo bad...

    What are your thoughts..

LEAVE OF ABSENCE. For work...or an ILOA..Intermittant Leave Of Absence...having a tough time with being sick..or whatever reason, you can call into work and it doesnt count against you..since it's covered under an ILOA..has to be filled out by a doctor..I know several women who get them early on..and use LOA for maternity leave.

I knew someone who ended up taking half days during her first trimester into her second due to extreme morning sickness. She did this for 6 weeks i believe. She just couldnt get through a full 8 hour shift. Good luck i hope all works out for you.
