Hi ladies! I'm 4w preg with my sixth baby. With my last pregnancy I was blessed with twins. I was surprised at my 20 week u/s. The ob office wants me to come in at 6wks for an u/s to check the number of babies. I'm excited but I'm wondering if anyone has gotten an u/s this early and seen a heartbeat? I'll be 6w 5d when I go. Should I expect to see a heartbeat? I'm paying out of pocket for this so I'll reschedule if I need to.

Lurking from 2nd trimester...

Heartbeats normally are seen around 6 weeks! You should be good! Good Luck!

As long as they do a transvaginal ultrasound you should be able to see the heartbeat. When I was 6 weeks, I saw a blob with a heartbeat.

Thanks ladies! I don't mind a blob as long as we can see how many blobs and heartbeat(s).
