I took a test today and it took it a while to show ( + ). I have been throw up a couple of times and Heart burn. I am about a week and half late. I had a M/C in January and Had to have a DNC. I am happy it was + but scarred if I really am. Has anyone else have a test that took a few mins to show up?

The instructions should tell you how long the results will be valiad. Most tests shouldn't be read after 10 minutes. I would take another and see how it goes. Keep us posted!

So I went to the health department today and they said I was about 5 weeks. I counted back five weeks and that was in the middle of my last cycle. So how do they figure how far you are? I am just really Happy but worried at the same time.

They base how far along you are on your last period. In other words, when you actually get pregnant, you are considered two weeks along. They do that because most women know when their last period was but almost no woman knows exactly when she ovulated.
