This is our first pregnancy and after over a year trying, which i know isn't really long, I found out that we needed to try Clomid to get the eggs moving...then it was all about timing and now here we are expecting twins. I'm 9 weeks today and feel great. I was wondering if any of you other ladies might be having twins...

We are super excited about our two little additions.

I'm not sure how many I'm having yet. But, with my last pregnancy I did have twins. I didn't find out until our 20wk u/s I was carrying twins. We didn't use Clomid or other drugs so it was a shocker. I've read though my chances are 36% of twins again. I'm going in a week and a half (I'll be close to 7wks) to count babies. I feel like it's twins again and my DS (6) keeps telling us he's getting two baby brothers even though we haven't even told him we're pregnant.

I will tell you besides being super tired I had a great twin pregnancy. I never had any issues. I took the kid's shopping for toys (I was feeling guilty) the day before I was induced. I had them at 36w 6d. They were my 4 & 5 babies. If you ever have any questions let me know.

It's interesting that your DS is saying he is having two baby brothers. My little cousin (5) who is like a nephew told his mom when she told him I was having a baby that it would be one of each. Well he was right about the two and it'll be interesting to see if he is right about the rest...his little sisters just keeps saying girls.

I get the super tired because I definately am and I find that if I don't eat every 2-3 hours I start to feel sick but since I know that I'm snacking all day...can't really say I've gained any weight yet though.

I'm sure as this goes along I will have tons of questions. There is no one else in either of our families that have twins.

Protein was my best friend while I was pregnant with the twins. Well, later in my pregnancy. I read that protein is good when you're carrying multiples. I'm sure it's not bad for those carrying one either. I ate a ton of peanut butter the last 16 weeks of my pregnancy. Pepperoni, crackers, and cheese. Or just a scoop of peanut butter. I ate a lot of cheese too but you gotta be careful it doesn't bind you.

Our story is very similar to yours. We had been trying for about a year and ? before we found out we were pregnant. At 6 weeks I came down with the flu and had to be admitted to the emergency room. The doctor ordered an ultrasound to make sure that the "baby" was ok. Must to our surprise, there were two babies (all the sudden the flu didn't seem so bad ; )) I have PCOS, so we were worried that we would never be able to have one baby, let alone two! But I am now 11 weeks pregnant and cannot be more excited about our growing family!

I have no symptoms except for being tired all the time and my breast have gotten huge.

Wish you and your little ones all the best!

Congrats!

My daughter has 4 sets of twins and and triplets in the first grade at her elementary school. I have to say, I always look at those parents with respect - I know that one has got to be easier than two!

I hope you keep feeling great!

I am now 10 weeks, and those are the only symptoms I've had too...I feel lucky that I've had no sickness and feel great most days. DH is saying I have an attitude about some things now but he'll get over it

I now believe that pregnancy messes with your brain though because I am forgetting things within seconds and even had a juice mishap because of it. As in I shook an already open bottle that was sitting in front of me because I didn't look at and forgot I had removed/loosened the cap. Thankfully I work at a hospital and the surgery department was able to lend me a scrub top for the day.
