FINALLY pregnant again! yay! have had numerous m/c so we are hoping this bean sticks. EDD of 1-19-13 (omg seems sooo far away!) any suggestions on when to start telling people? I wont clear the traditional hurdles and deemed "safer" until 25 weeks due to past history.

My personal philosophy on when to tell people is to only tell people that I would also feel comfortable telling if I were to lose the baby. With my first pregnancy, I told my parents and sister right away, but I waited to tell my extended family and work until 13 weeks. Since this is my 2nd pregnancy, I'm starting to show earlier, so I told everybody by 8 weeks. In my opinion, nobody is going to be cruel to you about losing a pregnancy. They would only want to offer their condolances. I do understand that some women could be upset if someone wasn't aware that they lost the baby and still asked how they were doing. So, I honestly think that it is whatever you would be comfortable with. I was so excited I could not wait to share the news.

I'm wishing you a very happy and healthy 9 months.

Congrats! I am due Jan 17th! So we are very close! I understand your losses, I lost twins last Feb 2011. this is my 5th child. So I am nervous too, but excited. Im 5 wks.

It is up to you as far as when to tell. I told family and a couple people at work. I had to tell my boss's bc if I get hurt, they need to know I am prego. I only told the ladies at work who I feel care about me & I talk with regulary. But as time passes on, you won't be able to hide it anymore.

Do what you feel is right. But I understand your points. I lost my twins at 23 wks and my husband doesn't want to tell many people. He is nervous, I dont think he's out of shock yet. lol. I will feel better with my 1st app on the 29th and once I hit 13 wks. As long as this is 1 baby!
