Nervous about weight gain during pregnancy

Hi Community
First off, I am overjoyed to be pregnant at 40 after a miscarriage just five months ago in November of last year, with my first pregnancy.

I had knee surgery in August of last year and the orthopedic surgeon and I had an agreement that if she did the surgery, I would lose the weight. I started at 243,, my goal was to lose 80 pounds. I started a weight loss plan at with job in January, that I had to stop because a co-worker had emergency surgery and would be out for a while, I had to step in and work 10-12 hour shifts, until about two weeks ago.

I have managed to stay at 230 pounds since the end of January, but now I find myself eating late at night, which I have never done. I was going to the gym 3-4 times per week for one hour sessions. I now think I am going to have to go at least five days per week for maybe 45 minutes rather than an hour to offset the food that I am consuming. I am trying to remain on the 1500 calorie eating plan that I may have to push back up to 2000.

None of the foods that I eat have taste anymore and everything makes me burp. I don't have morning sickness, and smells don't really bother me. I turned 8 weeks on yesterday.

I do not want to overdo it, but I am afraid to gain too much weight because I am already overweight.

I am going to talk to my doctor about it on June 5, when I have my first official pregnancy physical.
Is there anything, or a list of specific questions that I should ask my doctor when I go to visit?

Thanks in advance for your input and insight and advice.

Tammy
