Hello just a quick question. I know that you should not have certain dental work done during pregnancy but is that just for the first trimester? Thank you.

It depends on what the dental work is. Most dentists will not do an x-ray on a pregnant woman, no matter what trimester she is in. If it's something that can be done using local anesthesia, that should be okay.

Good question!

Here's a WebMD article with more info:

Dental Care Before, During & After Pregnancy

Interesting to note that, as a precautionary measure, dental treatments during the first trimester and second half of the third trimester should be avoided as much as possible.

Be sure to discuss with your dentist!
