HCG levels

I went to the doc last week thinking I was 8 1/2 wks pregnant and the ultra sound showed the baby was 5 1/2 weeks. I had my HCG levels taken Thurs (21162), Monday (21233) and Wednesday (21775). Could this pregnancy still be viable even though the HCG levels are not doubling?

I've heard the HcG levels only double up to a certain point then once you reach that point, they will continue to increase, just not as much.
