What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Hi All,
I am 9 weeks pregnant, and this is my first pregnancy, I am 29, well will be 30 this August. Can anyone suggest if I should go for the screening test for down syndrome or not? I know that its a personal decision, but I am not sure what are the chances or ratio at my age. My doctor told me before they didn't offer this to women under 35, but now they do, so it's up to me. I am confused if I should or should not.
Your advise, suggestions can help me decide better.

    Thanks a lot,
    ASH

Women under 35 are considered low risk for Downs Syndrome so I wouldn't have it done if I were you.

I was over 35 with both pregnancies so I had it done but at 35 you're considered high risk.

Thanks so much for your response.
I was also thinking not to go for it, but was still confused.

    Thanks again,
