    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Hi, I'm lurking from 2nd tri.. I very highly doubt that you have harmed your baby in any way. I've known tons of females who were still taking birth control when they found out that they were pregnant. They didn't harm the baby at all, baby grew right on time and didn't have any problems. I would just suggest that you quit taking the birth control now.

took birth control for 7 months not knowing i was pregnant the whole time and am happy to tell you my 15 yr old boy is fine.

Well it really depend on what kind of birth control. I also had the same issue when I found out I was pregnant a month ago at 8 weeks and was also using contraceptives. I used the Nuvaring. You need to talk to your doctor and he might send you to have a first trimester screening at hospital. This is what I did and thankfully my baby is unharmed. Its a special ultrasound including blood work which will decide the risk to your baby. I would advise you to definitely talk to your doctor at your next visit.
