My last pregnancy ended one day shy of 16 weeks because of an incompetent cervix. it has been four years since we lost our son and i am afraid. i know that god is with me and will keep us safe, but i still worry a lot. can anyone relate or at least give me wisdom?? thanks -----worried mommy-to-be

Congratulations!!!!

Try not to put your focus on the circumstances of the past, but focus on His goodness, His power and His might! He is mighty to save and His mercy endures forever.

Every good and perfect gift comes from Him and right now He is forming your baby in your womb with His hands!

Whenever fear and worry tries to take over your thoughts, take them captive (2 Cor 10:5). Remember, this is your time for JOY, don't let fear and worry steal this moment.

He knows the plans He has for you...plans to give you hope and a good future (Jer 29:11).
Me (31) DH (30) Hoping for 1st DS or DD by next year! God is good all the time and His mercy endures forever...be at peace!

I've heard they can do a cervical cerclage (sp?)- basically sew the cervix shut until close to the time of delivery to ensure that there are no repeat problems with cervical incompetence. I understand the proceedure is very effective. Good luck- I hope everything goes well. Check out the pregnancy after loss thread for more support if you haven't already.
