I am 5 weeks today. Since about 5 days ago i have been feeling a dull cramp on the left side of my abdomen. Sometimes it disappears all together. I get cramping throughout the rest of my abdomen as well. In addition, every couple of days a get either very very light pink/brown discharge. Usually only when I go #2 (sorry TMI). I called Dr and they advised since the cramping hasn't gotten worse they are not concerned now but to keep an eye out. Any reassurances out there?

I had a similar situation with my first pregnancy around 11 weeks. I called my doctor and was reassured that everything was fine, but I could come in if I were concerned. My discharge was brownish and had an uneven, almost grainy texture with some pink swirls (I guess you could say) in it and I had cramping, as well. Of course I was paranoid and wanted to be seen, and even after my exam, everyone reassured me that things were fine. The doctor did an ultrasound, and when she called in another doctor for a second opinion, I knew something was wrong. It was then that I was informed I had miscarried. I'm not saying either of you are miscarrying, but go with your instincts and get yourself to the doctor ASAP. You need to be sure everything's okay.
