In DESPERATE need of medical advice!!!

I recently discovered that I'm almost 6 weeks pregnant. This was not a planned pregnancy, a birth control malfunction if you will. The day after conception, I was concerned and wanted to take preventative measures so I tried Plan B (Levonorgestrel). Thinking that the pill had been effective I continued on with my normal routine, occasional use of prescription Adderall and Phendimetrazine. About 1 1/2 weeks later I came down with a serious sinus infection and I filled a prescription for Sulfamethoxazole (I think it was called that, it was some sulfur-based antibiotic). Oddly enough the medication made me so nauseous I was unable to complete the full dose and only took it for about three days.

All that to say, I just discovered that I'm pregnant and I am absolutely FREAKED out about the safety and well-being of the fetus after the brief research I've done on drug safety and the FDA ratings for pregnant woman. I am personally against abortion (for me) and now I'm worried that I may have inadvertently destroyed this baby's chance of being normal/healthy and not deformed with fetal anomalies. So now I'm considering abortion, something that might destroy me!!! Some medical advice would be stellar right now.

First of all don't stress yourself out so much, that is really not good for you right now. As far as the antibiotics go I would bet that there was no harm done there whatsoever. I have been prescribed several different ones throughout my pregnancy by my OB. I don't know about the other drugs but don't freak out until you see your dr. You never know and don't research the meds online because pretty much ever drug description will tell you that you should check with your dr before taking if your pregnant. I personally was taking clonzopam and very strong pain meds before I found out and everything has gone very well for me. Every test has shown that I am about to have a very healthy little boy. Good luck, stay calm, and don't believe everything you read.

I agree with Samm. Also there is a test that they can do while you are pregnant to see how your fetus is doing. I would just stay calm and get to a doctor as soon as you can to ease your troubled mind. It's ok, we all make mistakes and you are not at fault for taking those medications because you were not aware. I am sure your baby will be fine and I wish you the best of luck.
