Every year for Christmas, I bake 80-100 dozen cookies. We give them out at our jobs, and to people who have helped us through the year, and then also to family when we travel around for visiting. Being that I currently have gestational diabetes, I am doing all of the work to make them, having to smell them, and can't eat them!!! The things we do for our children .... And, I am giving some to my OB this year, and I had to write out a special card to tell him that I only baked, didn't eat lol.

I don't have gestational diabetes but I know how you feel. I have been craving cakes and sweets and being it's around the holidays that is one thing NO ONE can avoid. I am trying very hard myself to not eat sweets because I know they aren't the best thing for me. My boyfriends uncles girlfriend was baking up cakes today and it was killing me just smelling them.

I opted out of baking this year just because of the GD. I will be making homemade chocolates for a raffle, but standing over chocolates doesn't tempt me as bad as the wonderful smell of baked goods. Stay strong. This torture will only last until the baby is born.
