baby measures almost a month ahead of schedule

am 26 weeks 6 days my baby at 23 weeks was measuring at 29 weeks i have to go back next week for ultrasound and my reg ob apt the baby has been measuring ahead of schedule sence my first ultrasound when i was 6 weeks and then the next ultrasound at 10 weeks he was measuring at 12 weeks and so on so hes been measuring at bout 2 weeks ahead of the when theyve said and then couple weeks ago when i was at the ob in early feb he was measuring almost a month ahead my ob says because of my past pregnancys that i will not make it full term and that she thinks hes coming round 34 maybe 35 weeks if im lucky i have been sayign i will be prepared for everything but honestly i would like to go full term

Are you basing your due date on you LMP. Most doctors adjust your due date based on your first ultrasound due to you might have ovulated earlier than you thought. Have you been tested for gestational diabetes, that could also cause you to measure adhead. Also just because you are only 34-35 weeks pregnant if you baby is as big as a full term baby then he/she is ready to come out, it might not be healthy for the baby to stay in.

Does you doctor think maybe you conceived at a time different than you do and that's why the baby is measuring ahead? If not, and the baby is just measuring large, I would be concerned about lung development if you deliver at 34 or 35 weeks. That being said, ultrasounds are not a perfect science and there is room for error, though with that many showing the baby is consistently large, I'm surprised they haven't just changed your due date, rather than saying that you will deliver "early."
