    Progesterone Shots anyone?
    mendezwife posted:
I was curious if anyone was getting progesterone shots? I will be getting them in about 2 wks. Just wanted to know of anyone's thoughts or experiences with them.

did not have shots, I took suppositories the whole first tri. nothing bad to report..
    light76 replied to Laur1981's response:
Hi, I did not have to take the progesterone shots During pregnancy. Last year I had to take them as I was going through infertility treatments. Progesterone shots though essential are horrible. The 1st week you will be fine after that there will be these huge bumps like mosquitoes bites just bigger and they itch like crazy. What would help a bit was putting hot water bag on it after each shot that would make it easier. The watching is progesterone shot is with oil and not water so the oil accumulates rather than getting dissolved causing the bumps.

    Good luck.
    mendezwife replied to light76's response:
Sorry but what "bumps" are you speaking of? Maybe we are not talking about the same thing............Im getting them to prevent me from going into labor, my last preg was a twin & I went into labor at 23 wks.
So my doc wants to keep me prego for as long as possible. Do you mean you get a rash or bump where its injected?
