NT measurement at 1st trimester screen

Hi all - I haven't been in these boards since I was pregnant with my son over 8 years ago. I come now with a concern laying really heavy on me. I received the results of my 1st trimester screen last week and learned that my levels were a little off... I was 12 weeks and 3 days at the time of testing. The geneticist didn't really give details, just that I'm at higher risk because of my age, etc. I also had that "verifi" blood test thats supposed to be more accurate, and that test showed no abnormalities were detected. In any event, I am opting to have an amnio because I am a planner and need to know what's going on.

Yesterday at my regular ob/gyn appt, my doc said the result that was off, was the NT measurement. He said it was abnormal at 2.1 - after leaving his office I googled NT results and am now really freaked out. Some sites say its normal, some say normal/high.

I am curious what others measured at and how it was explained to them. Did you opt for amnio? Did you get results?

    Thank you, Lisa (15w5d)
