So BIG So Soon?

Ok, so I'm a little thick, normally wear a size 12-14. I haven't gained but 1.5 pounds. I'm 14 weeks and 5 days. My clothes didn't fit my pants were tight before I found I was even pregnant which was at 6 weeks but I didn't think anything of it. Now I look like I am 8 months pregnant in my stomach. Another girl at work is due at the end of the month and I am the same size as her. I haven't put on any weight per the scales other then the 1.5 at the doctors office but my belly is huge. Any idea? Maybe just bloating?

Well, bloating is definitely part of it. I am 12 weeks and 5 days and already wearing maternity pants for a week because everything was so tight. Everyone at work has noticed I am showing now, and I haven't gained any weight at all. I'm a size 6, so I know it has nothing to do with what size you were to begin with. Some women just have different responses. My bloating sure makes a difference! By the end of the day I'm about double the size I started the day with. Your body will respond how it will and there's very little you can do about it except enjoy that you are expecting!!
jsmanning replied to ReneeErin's response:
Thanks! I figured it was just the bloating. Kinda funny though cause I am so big looking already! Thanks for the response!

You're not alone. This is my 4th pregnancy and in my experience, I tend to get larger sooner. I really look like I am 8 months pregnant. I am only 6months 1 week and I am only going to get larger. I feel so bad. I have gained 13lbs, which is normal, and mostly belly. My last Ds was 9lb 10oz and I'm really scared this one is going to be bigger. I really don't eat a whole lot, I'm just big in the belly. GRRRRR, I feel so bad.

Just like you, a friend of mine gave birth last week and I was about the same size as she was. I just want this pregnancy to be over with. I can't get any bigger.

I am the same as you. I wore a 14 before I got KU'd and started showing at like 10 weeks but I was super bloated. I lost a few pounds during my 1st tri and the beginning of the 2nd even though my belly stayed the same size lol. 10 to 1 says that it's bloating and after a while you'll (or at least I did) start to feel like you're not preggo because nothings changing in your waist line and you're not feeling your LO move yet.

I'm the same way...I was a 14 before pg, and have been in mat clothes since 13w...I keep joking to my coworkers to get ready for the torpedo, b/c I really do get huge.

It's probably just how you're long as the baby is growing well I wouldn't worry!
