Well we all know that pregnancy is not the most comfortable thing in the world but holy crap. I have to sleep on my sides because it hurts to sleep on my belly and I can't breathe if I sleep on my back. So what do I get for it OMFG my hips hurt they hurt so bad I am lucky to get 3 or 4 straight hours of sleep without waking up. I was "boney" before I got pregnant and I think my hips are the only part of me that stayed that way. Any Ideas as to how to help this painful problem?

Unfortunately there's no miracle cure for that. I just have to continue rolling back and forth all night alternating between the two. Pillows between the knees, etc. really didn't help me very much.

Yeah unfortunatly there is no other help. I toss and turn all night long! Im lucky if i sleep a few hours straight before i have to switch sides or get up to go pee. I know they say not to lay on your back because the weight of your uterus can put pressure on something which can slow down blood flow or something??

I can only sleep on my left side. Right side gives me terrible heartburn!

So, my left hip gets painfully numb and I don't have any other choice. I can't wait to sleep on my belly again!

I was talking to my doctor about this earlier in my pregnancy and she gave me these exercise tips to help with the hip pain: Lay on your back and have your SO push in on your knees while you try to force them out. Then switch so he is trying to pull your knees apart while you hold them in. It didn't "fix" the problem but it made it a little more bearable.
