I went to my 39 week appt today and my midwife asked me if I wanted her to stir things up a little to see if I could go into labor soon, so I was like heck yes!.... LITTLE did I know that meant her manually stretching my cervix to 2 cm! I don't suggest ANYONE to ever have that done... It has done NOTHING except make me bleed a little which she said would happen... other than that NO contractions, or anything new. BOO I am really getting anxious to meet my little girl!

Ouch!!! What on earth?! Why wouldn't she tell you that's what she meant by "stir things up a little"? I thought maybe stripping membranes or something, but manual cervix stretching? That just SOUNDS painful.

Hopefully it did help and you just haven't seen the effects yet. Waiting for your birth story!
