The decision to go to the hospital......

So last night (around 10pm) I got up off the couch to go to bed and I was having some shooting pains from my lower abdomen to my pelvic region. I had to stop and bend over several times from the living room to the bedroom. I was also have some pretty bad menstrual like cramping. I contemplated calling the Dr and going in, but I laid down first hoping it would subside. The pains did, but the cramping was still there. Not to sound crazy, and wont go into a bunch of detail, but today (Wed) would have been the worst day to go into labor lol. There would have been no way for my husband to be there and I had no where for DD to go.

I barely got any sleep last night with cramps and being worried about going into labor. I finally fell asleep around 4am and have taken several naps today. The cramping still is sporadic, but nothing consistent or painful. But I swear I think its mental, because I was fine all day, how come when it gets later at night is the only time I feel so uncomfortable. So I dont want to be that patient that calls the Dr for no reason, but I also dont want to wait to long.

How are you feeling? Anything doing?? You're so close!!!

I thought I was going in to labor on Saturday...damn pineapples! LOL! Braxton Hicks, awful period cramping, lower back pain and bum pressure. Felt EXACTLY like I did when I went in to labor with my DS, but I don't think I've lost my plug yet.

I was relieved to wake up yesterday morning and still be uncomfortable but not in such pain Have an appt Thursday, maybe things are moving along!

Keep us posted!

Wow you sound just like me

After that day the issues have been very mild. It seems like I only have strong contractions very early in the morning and in the evening. The rest of the day I dont notice anything. I go to the Dr. tomorrow and I am pretty confident that he will remove me from modified bed rest since I will be 37w1d, full term. Then I will start walking to get things moving. I dont think I lost my plug either, but I have had extremely excess discharge the last few days. Everything you mention I have on a daily basis, just not consistently enough to be "real labor". Hopefully the Dr. gives me good news tomorrow that I have started to progress.

Hopefully you get good news too! Hang in there we are almost done.

So my appt went great. I am 3-4 cm and 75% effaced! Dr says that he doubts I will last another 7 days. He said I will not see a mucous plug since I am so dilated that it already came out. Any signs of labor, I just call! Yay I am so ready to meet my little man!

OMG super jealous! Don't know why my tag at the bottom never posts even though I've reset it a million times!

I'm due the 22nd and you are making more progress than me! LOL! With my DS I was 1 cm dilated till I went into labor. Once I went into labor, I was only in labor for about 4 1/2 hrs, strong, hard consistent contractions at 3, had him at 7:30. SO maybe that's whats going to happen this time too!

My friend is 4 cm and 80% effaced and has been for almost a month now! EEKS! Hope she goes soon! She's due the 14th.

Keep me posted, I'll be watching for your birth story! Good luck!
