    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Im 34 wks and baby is heads up! OB said if she hasn't turned by my 36 wk, c-section it is! My DS was head down before 30 wks. I really do not want a c-section. Is there anything I can do to get her to turn?

A midwife gave me some tips. She said play music to the bottom of your uterus and shine a flashlight down there as well. baby should want to move towards the music and light. Also didn't sound very comfortable but she said lay an ironing board against a couch and literally lay upside down. Baby may prefer to sit upright so obviously laying upside down would cause her to flip.

I don't know if they work or not. I haven't really tried them yet I am 30 weeks now.

Good luck! I hope your little one flips!

My in-laws are both chiropractors and my mother in-law says she has turned many babies. You may want to check with a chiropractor? Also, when I was expecting last time in 2010, my baby was breach until 3 or 4 weeks before I had her too...and my midwife suggested laying upside down and I tried it and it must have worked because she turned. Good luck!

    Hi mommy -

My sister had a version with her first child to turn him.

Has your OB mentioned this as an option?

    External Cephalic Version

I was there when she had it done, she was getting frustrated with the doctors, as they were pushing on her abdomen they were chatting about golf with her husband!

thanks for the suggestions. I will try the light and music tonight. as for the doctor turning the baby, it sounds painful...but I will ask if they will try before doing the c-section. I will find out Thursday is she has turned or not..wish me luck
