31w and Dialating

Did an ultrasound to look at my cervex and I'm already dialated to 2cm and 50%. He said I more than likely have lost my plug and didn't seem too concerned, but I can't stop wondering about it. Although you still have several weeks to go till you're full term you could walk around like that for weeks and weeks until you go in to labor. IF things progress sooner than they should, they can give you meds to help mature the baby's lungs faster. My friend's sister went into labor 8 weeks early and the baby is perfectly healthy and fine.

Another friend of mine has been walking around 4 cm dilated and 80% effaced for 4 weeks! She's due on the 14th! Oh, and your plug can regenerate...Good luck! Hope that puts your mind at ease a bit
