I am 36 weeks and 4 days today. this is my second pregnancy. my first one was early, he was born at 37 weeks (my water broke). I had a doct appt today and she said that i am dialated 1 cm and her head is really far down. Does this mean labor is coming any day now? With my son I had to be induced cause my water broke, and it took me like 10 hours to dialte 1 cm. i really hope to at least make it to 38 weeks if not full term. just wanted to get opinions from everyone elses experience. Thanks

Your pregnancy is full tern starting at 37 or 38 weeks. Being 1 cm dialted doesnt mean that you are going into labor anytime soon. I was 1 cm dialted at 36 weeks with my daughter and her head was low and I didnt have her until i was 40w2d

I'm only 34 weeks and I have been dialated more than 2 cm, 50% efaced and lost my plug for over 2 weeks now. According to my doc, this is totally normal (over 1/3 of women go through it) and its nothing to worry about. It only means I don't get to hang out in a pool for the next month. Thats the only sucky part because I was planning on enjoying the summer floating and staying cool. Don't stress and just think how much easier your labor might be becasue your already 1/10th the way there.
