I was induced at 7:30am with a tablet to get things started I stayed at 1cm and 75% effaced all day with no progress.
So I was checked last at 5:45pm and was still only 1 cm and 75% effaced, I decided to eat dinner and then I started to get stronger contractions around 6:30 so I went to take a bath by 8pm I was in a lot of pain and couldn't talk through contractions so I had the nurse check me I was 100% effaced and 5 cm !!! by 9:30 I had my epidural and was feeling amazing by 1:15am I was 10 cm and at 1:45am I was starting to push and at 3:32 am my beautiful baby girl was born she weighed 9lbs 6 oz and was 21 inches long!!! We named her Melody Marie.
I did have to have an episiotomy which wasn't bad but I am up and walking around with mild pain so I am pretty happy.

Congrats! So happy for you! Love her name. I am still waiting, not much going on, just lots of pain and pressure. I know she is worth the wait. Thoughts and prayer's for you and your family! Take care!

The epidural lasted until she was born however I could still feel the pressure of having to push and feel her come out but I didn't have the shooting pains.
An episiotomy is where the cut the skin between your vagina and rectum ( sorry tmi ) it usually only happens when you aren't stretched enough for the head to come out and my baby had a big head I think was like a 14 inches round.
And thanks we are both doing well

I'm trying, we just finally got the room set up only thing left is to actually put the crib up and then the house will actually be ready for LO to come(nothing like last minute)lol! Got all of the clothes and blankets washed and everything so once I set up the crib and wash all the toys I will be doing everything I can think of to get this Little Guy to meet the world!
