Sudden abdominal pains?

I'm 34 1/2 weeks pregnant and have been having a lot of pain in my back and stomach recently. Yesterday the doctor told me to just go home, relax, and lay down. I did exactly as directed: I went home, ate dinner first, and then laid down in bed for the remainder of the night. I woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and had an odd stomach pain - as if I'd done multiple reps of sit-ups or crunches the day before. I haven't had much physical activity because of how I'd been feeling, so it wasn't the case. As I woke up this morning it just got worse - it kind of comes and goes, but not regularly. It hurts to the touch, though, too. I've had bad braxton hicks contractions and other minor complications since the 2nd trimester, so I'm really not sure if this is something to be worried about as well.

Call your doc again and see what he/she says or go to labor and delivery.
