Hospitalization

Hi. I recently saw a diabetes educator and after looking at my log of blood sugars, she admitted me to the hospital. She believes that there were too high. They were in the ranges of 120-150. I feel that it was done because of my insurance and just to get some extra money. Has anyone else gone through this?

No, and my numbers were higher than yours. I have to see MFM once a week and my OB once a week to keep an eye on my numbers. The MFM doc dosent think that there is anything wrong with my numbers but my OB thinks that my fasting numbers are too high. The MFM has been playing with my insulin doeses for over a month.

Perhaps your hospitalization did have something to do with your insurance but you probably will never know for sure.

Wow, I talked with someone today who also saw the same diabetes educator. She asked me if the educator had hospitalized me yet. I told her yes. She said she had been hospitalized twice by the educator.

I ended up in the hospital for 30 hours because of my BP and BS. My dibeties educator call my OB and they both ganged up on me and had me admitted. I had just been in my OB's office a few hours earlier but by time I got to the DE's office my BP was way too high. Aftr they let me go home I was put on full bed rest.
