OK, I just had my donor egg (DE) transfer 4 days ago, so I'm in my so-called 2-week-wait (2ww). I am type 2 diabetes and I'm on Metformin, Januvia and Glimepiride, until a positive pregnancy test comes back and then I transition over to insulin. I am scared in the meantime, particularly of the Glimepiride, but my readings have been high lately, particularly with the other fertility meds that went along with the transfer. Is it more important to try to lower my blood sugar, which the Glimepiride will definitely do...or will taking the Glimepiride reduce my chance of actual implantation of the embryo? This was a 3AA embryo and my lining was 13, my other blood levels have been good, even my A1C has been good, these high readings have just been very recent - meaning last week for the final fertility meds and then this week. Anyone out there have any comments? I know that both my endocrinologist and the doctors at the fertility clinic agreed that I should stay on the oral meds until a positive pregnancy test but I am so nervous about the whole thing.
